Astound router login lets you access the router’s interface so you can set up and configure the default settings. When you access the IP address 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 in your browser, you can see the essential settings of your router, including the SSID name and WiFi password.

How to Login to Astound Router

Accessing the admin panel of your Astound router is not as challenging as you may think. There are many benefits you can get when logging into it, including a more enhanced and protected WiFi network, a personalized SSID name, and more. So, if you are configuring your router’s default settings, login with the help of the steps below:

Step 1: Connect your Device to the Router

Before you begin, make sure that the ethernet cable is properly connected to the LAN port of the router. This is for those who are using a wired connection. But if connecting via WiFi, make sure the network has a good signal and your device is connected to it.

Step 2: Open your Browser

In the address bar of your browser, type 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, then press Enter. Be careful when typing, as any single mistake in the IP address will cause issues.

Step 3: Enter your Login Credentials

On the login page of your router, you will find fields that you need to fill out with your username and password. For default login details, you can check the sticker on the back of the router.

Step 4: You will be Logged in to the Admin Panel

Your router has default settings when newly acquired. So, after you successfully log in, you will have the power to configure all the settings you would like to change. Just make sure to work with the SSID name and WiFI password first so you can protect your WiFi network from unauthorized access.

How to Change SSID Name and Password

As you noticed above, there are different Astound routers. This means that they also have different steps in terms of WLAN configuration. However, we will take some of the common routers only, so if you own any of the routers below, read on so you can change your WiFi password and SSID.

For Archer C7 AC1750:

1. In the admin panel, select the Wireless tab.
2. In the Network Name SSID, enter your new network name.
3. In the Password field, enter your new password.
4. Click Save.

For Linksys e2500:

1. On the admin page, select Wireless.
2. In the Network Name SSID field, enter your new network name.
3. Click Save Settings.
4. To set the password, select the Wireless Security.
5. In the Passphrase field, enter your password.
6. Click Save Settings.

For Asus RT Series:

1. On the admin pane, select Wireless.
2. In the Band field, Select the WiFi band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz).
3. In the Network Name SSID, enter your new network name.
4. In the WPA Pre-Shared Key, enter your new password.
5. Click Apply to save changes.

How to Reset Your Astound Router

Astound routers are not challenging to reset. So, if you forgot your password and you need to log in to the router, perform the steps below:

1. Look for the reset button located at the back of your router.
2. Using a pin, press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds, then let go.
3. The lights will flash, indicating that the router is resetting.
4. Wait for the router to reboot to complete the reset process.

Astound Router Login Issues and Solutions

The login process to login your Astround router is easy and simple but sometimes you will face some login issues down the line. Here are the common ones and how you can fix them:

• Incorrect Username and Password: If you forgot the default login details or changed them and can’t remember, then refer to the router’s manual or check the device label for default information. A factory reset will reinstate these defaults but will also erase all custom settings.
