How to Log in to the  AT&T Router

If you notice your network is getting weaker, unlike when you acquired it the first time, unauthorized users may be connecting to it. In that case, you should configure the password and change it to a hard-to-guess combination. To do this, you need to reach the admin panel. Here are the steps to log in to start managing your network.

Step 1: Connect your Device to the AT&T Router

You can connect your device to the router via a wired or wireless connection. If you choose to use a wired your router will be directly connected to the PC through an Ethernet cable. If an Ethernet cable is not available, you can use a WiFi connection as an alternative option.

Step 2: Open a Web Browser

Once connected, you can open a web browser to continue the login process.  You can choose a web browser compatible with the router’s IP address from Google Chrome, Safari, or Microsoft Edge. In the chosen web browser’s address bar, enter the AT&T router IP address “192.168.1.254”  and press Enter to proceed.

Step 3: Enter the Login Credentials in the Login Page

On the login page, you’ll be prompted to enter your username and password. Use the default credentials found on the router’s label or any custom credentials you’ve set up. For AT&T routers, the default login credentials are “blank space” for username and “attadmin” as password. You will enter these credentials in the username and password fields on the login page.

Step 4: Navigate the AT&T Router Settings

After clicking the login button on the login page, you will be redirected to the admin panel, where you can explore the AT&T router settings. In the web user interface, you can configure network parameters, security options, parental controls, and firmware updates. Always make sure to adjust the router settings based on your needs.
