EdimaxEXT.Setup is your access to reach the web admin panel of your Edimax Wi-Fi Range Extender. When you log in at http://edimaxext.setup you can set up and configure the settings to suit your needs.

How to setup Edimax Wi-Fi Extender?

When setting up your Edimax extender device, you only have to follow a few steps:

Step 1: Connect to the Extender’s Network

First, you need to connect your device to the Edimax network. Begin by plugging your Edimaxext device into a power outlet. Ensure that it is within range of your existing network for proper connectivity.

Locate the default wireless network name (SSID) of the Edimaxext device on your computer or mobile device. Connect to this network by entering the default password (usually found on the device).

Step 2: Open a Browser

Open a web browser and enter the URL http://edimaxext.setup or default IP address of the Edimaxext device 192.168.9.2. This will take you to the web interface login page.

Step 3: Select the Network You Want to Extend

On the next page, click Get Started. When taken to the next page after just click Next. You will be taken to the iQ Setup page where you need to select the network you want to extend. Click the radio button beside the selected network. In the Security Key field type the existing password. In the Extender device SSID field, enter a new WiFi name, then select Next.

You will be taken to the connection test page. Wait until the test is done and that’s it. You can now restart the device and connect to the extended network.
