How to Login to iiNet Modem

Your iiNet modem comes with default settings that anyone can search online when it is new. This makes your modem vulnerable to unauthorized access. You can prevent other users from connecting to your network by configuring the settings. And to do it, you must log in first. Here are the steps to follow:

Step 1: Connect your Device to the Router

Before anything else, make sure that whatever device you are using is connected to the router. Using an ethernet cable, connect your PC or laptop to the router by connecting the scale from the device’s ethernet port to the router’s LAN port. Now, if you prefer to use a wireless connection, then make sure the WiFi is within the right range and is providing a good signal.

Step 2: Launch your Browser

On your device, open a browser and type 10.1.1.1 or 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. Double-check the IP address for the correct combination, as any single mistake will lead to login issues. After checking, hit the Enter key on your keyboard.

Step 3: Enter your Login Details

In the fields given on the login page, enter your username and password. For default login details, you can check the back of the router. The common default username is admin, and the password is admin. However, if you have changed those in the past, you need to provide the new login credentials.

How to Change SSID Name and Password

Changing the WiFi password of your iiNet modem is not just for personalization but also for the security of your network. Configure the wireless and security settings by following the steps below:

For iiNet TG789:

1. Open your browser, type 10.1.1.1 in the address bar, then hit Enter.
2. On the login page, enter your username and password, then click Sign in.
3. In the admin menu, select Wireless.
4. In the SSID Name field, enter your desired network name.
5. In the Password field, enter your new WiFi password.
6. Click Save.

For TG-789 Broadband Gateway:

1. Open a browser and type 10.1.1.1 in the address bar.
2. Enter the Username and Password and click Sign In.
3. In the admin menu select Wireless.
4. In the SSID Name field, enter your new network name.
5. In the Wireless Password field, enter your new password.
6. Click Save.

For iiNet TP-Link Archer VR1600v V2:

1. Open your browser, type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, then press Enter.
2. On the login page, enter your username and password, then click Login.
3. On the admin menu, select Wireless>Basic.
4. Enter your desired network name in the Network Name SSID field.
5. Enter your new password in the Password field.
6. Click Save.

For Sagemcom 5866

1. Open your browser, type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, then press Enter.
2. On the login page, enter your username and password and click Login.
3. On the admin menu, you will see the cog/gear icon on the Wi-Fi 2.4GHz or Wi-Fi 5GHz panel; select it.
4. In the SSID field, enter your new network name.
5. In the Password field, enter your new password.
6. Click Apply.

How to Reset Your iiNet Modem

Resetting your iiNet modem is simple and easy with just a few steps:

1. Keep your modem turned on.
2. Locate the reset button on the back of the modem.
3. Using a pin or a paper clip press and hold the button for 10 seconds, then release.
4. You will notice the lights will flash and the router will reboot. Thats it!

Login Issues and Troubleshooting with iiNet Modem

While logging in to your iiNet modem only includes a few easy steps, you may sometimes face issues. Here are the common ones and how to fix them:

• Incorrect username and password: This issue is very common for those who forget their password when logging in. If this is also your case, double-check the sticker on the back of the modem to see the default password and SSID name. • Multiple login attempts: This issue occurs when you enter the wrong username and password too many times. Simply wait for 60 seconds, and you will be able to enter your login details again. If you have forgotten your details, you may need to reset your router.
