iPrimus Modem Login gives you access to the control center of your home internet. When you log in at http://192.168.1.1, you can be able change your WiFi password and network name. You can even manage and change other default settings, whether it is basic or advanced. You can do it all by logging into your iPrimus modem.
How to Log in to iPrimus Modem
When your iPrimus modem is brand new, it comes with factory default settings, including the username and password. Although you can use it as long as you want, it is unsafe for your network. That is why logging in to the modem settings is recommended, so you can change your WiFi name, create a strong password, manage connected devices, and fix any speed issues. If that sounds good to you, here are the steps you can follow:
Step 1: Connect Your Device to the iPrimus Network
Before you log in, you need to make sure your device is connected to your iPrimus modem. You can do this either wirelessly or with a wired Ethernet connection. If you’re using WiFi, search for the default iPrimus network name using your device, then connect to the network. If you prefer a more stable connection, using an Ethernet cable is recommended. To use it, just plug one end into your computer and the other end into one of the LAN ports on the modem.

Step 2: Open a Browser and Enter the IP Address
Once connected, open your favorite browser. You can use Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. It doesn’t matter which one you use as long as it can reach the login page. In the address bar, type 192.168.1.1, then hit Enter. When you reach the login page pop-up, that means you are halfway to reaching the admin panel.

If 192.168.1.1 doesn’t work, give these common IP addresses a shot:
| Modem | IP Addresses |
|---|---|
| Kaon DG2144 | 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.254 |
| Huawei HG659 | 192.168.1.1, 192.168.3.1 |
| Huawei DN8245V | 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.8.1 |
| Netcomm NL1901ACBV | 192.168.20.1, 192.168.1.1 |
| TP-Link VX220 | 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.254, 192.168.1.1 |
Step 3: Enter the Login Username and Password
Now that you’ve reached the login page, you’ll be prompted to enter your username and password. For most iPrimus modems, the default credentials are printed on the back of the modem. Typically, the username is “admin” and the password is “password”.Once you enter the correct details, click the Login or Sign In button.

Step 4: Explore and Modify Modem Settings
Now that you’re in the dashboard, it’s time to explore and manage your home network. You can start by going into the Wireless section. This is where you can change your WiFi name (SSID) and password to something more memorable and secure. Aside from these, you can also try tweaking the advanced settings like Parental Controls, WiFi channels, and Guest Network. Making these updates can protect your WiFi network and can even boost your overall internet performance.

Note: The illustration used above applies to Kaon DG2144, so if the images are different from your iPrimus modem, it is totally fine. The web user interface varies depending on the brand of your modem.
How to Change Your WiFi Name and Password
Once you’re logged in to the admin panel, one of the first things you’ll probably want to do is personalize your WiFi network name and update the password. That is what’s really recommended, as this helps secure your home network and makes it easier to recognize among a list of nearby signals. Here’s how you do it:
For Huawei HG659:

- In the main dashboard, select the Wi-Fi icon.
- Toggle on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
- In the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and 5 GHz Wi-Fi field, enter your new SSID name.
- In the Password field, enter your new WiFi password.
- Click Save.
For Huawei DN8245V:

- On the admin dashboard, select WLAN > 2.4 GHz Basic Network Settings or 5 GHz Basic Network Settings.
- Enter your new network name in the SSID Name field.
- Enter your new WiFi password in the WPA PreSharedKey field.
- Click Apply.
How to Reset Your iPrimus Modem
Resetting your iPrimus modem will return everything to factory settings, but would resolve some login issues and system errors. Here’s how to do a full reset:
- Look for a small hole or button labeled Reset on the back or underside of your modem.
- Grab a paperclip, then press and hold the reset button for 10–15 seconds.
- The modem lights will start blinking.
- Let go and wait a couple of minutes for the modem to reboot fully.
- Once the lights stabilize, your modem is back to how it was the day you got it.
Important: After a reset, you’ll need to log in using the default IP address and credentials printed on the modem’s sticker. Then you’ll have to set everything up again, including your WiFi name and password.
Common Login Issues and Fixes
Even when you follow the steps perfectly, sometimes the login page just won’t load. Don’t stress yourself because sometimes it’s probably something minor. Here’s a list of common problems and how to fix them:
- Weak to no internet connection: If you’re not connected to the modem (either via WiFi or Ethernet), you won’t be able to log in. Make sure you’re using the correct network before trying again.
- Failed to load the login page: This is probably due to the wrong IP address. Double-check the IP address and ensure it is typed correctly without commas or extra spaces, as this can block the login page from loading.
- Incompatible browser: Some browsers or extensions can stop the page from loading. Try switching browser to Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Also, you may need to disable browser extensions if needed.
- Wrong username and password: If the default login details dont work, then you may have changed them in the past. If you cannot recall at all, then a factory reset might be your only option.
