M.home Login

M.home login lets you access the web user interface of the router. When you log in at http://m.home, you can set up the router settings like SSID name and WiFi password.

How to Log in to M.home

The process to log in to your router via m.home is very straightforward. This only includes a few steps:

Step 1: Connect your Device to the Router

Using a wireless or wired connection, connect your laptop or PC to the router to have a network. We recommend you to use a wired connection as it can give you a better signal than WiFi.

Step 2: Open a Browser

Next, launch your browser and type http://m.home or 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, then hit Enter. Some of the router brands that use m.home to access their admin panels are NETGEAR Nighthawk M1 Mobile Router (MR1100), Telstra Pre-Paid 4G USB Modem, and Telstra Pre-Paid 4GX Hotspot. Regardless of the brand of router you use, the IP address is the same.

Step 3: Enter your Login Details

Once you reach the login page, enter your username and password, which you can find on the back of the router. However, if you have changed them already in the past, then you have to use the new login details.

You may also refer to the router passwords and usernames below:

Step 4: You will be logged in successfully

Once there are no issues encountered on the login page, you will be redirected to the admin panel. From there, you can change the settings according to your needs and to what you think can protect your WiFi network.

How to Change SSID Name and Password

The steps to change the WiFi password and SSID name are almost the same for the routers that use m.home. Here are the steps

For NETGEAR Nighthawk M1 Mobile Router (MR1100):

  1. Log in to the admin web user interface.
  2. Select SETTINGS > Setup > Wireless.
  3. In the WiFi Name (SSID)  field, type your new WiFi Network Name
  4. In the WiFi Password field, enter your new WiFi Password
  5. Click Apply.

For Telstra Pre-Paid 4G USB Modem:

  1. Open your browser and type http://m.home in the address bar, then hit Enter.
  2. On the login page, select WLAN > WLAN Basic Settings.
  3. In the SSID field, type the new WiFi Network Name.
  4. In the WPA pre-shared key field, enter your new WiFi Password
  5. Click Apply.

If you have forgotten your WiFi password and you cannot log in to your router settings, you just need to reset your router factory default settings.

Troubleshooting M.home Login Issues

  1. Forgotten Login Credentials: This usually happens to those who have changed their login details and couldn’t remember. To solve this, you just need to reset your router.
  2. The site cannot be reached: This means the device is not connected to the router. To resolve this, check if the Ethernet cable is properly connected and the WiFi network is working fine.
  3. Too many login attempts: When you enter the wrong login details many times, you will face this problem. Just wait until the lock time passes and try logging in again. If there is no way for you to remember your password, resetting the router will be needed.
  4. Not working IP Address: If the IP address is not entered correctly, you won’t reach the login page. To solve this issue, check the back of the router or search for the default router IP addresses online.
