My.usb

My.usb is used to access the web admin interface of Verizon MiFi4G LTE Global USB Modem U620L. When you log in at http://my.usb or 192.168.1.1, you can manage and customize the modem settings such as WiFi name and password. You can also change other default settings whether its basic or advanced.

How to Setup and Log in to Verizon MiFi4G Modem

If you want to take control of your modem settings, you should first log in to the web user interface. The process is not as difficult as it may seem, and with just a few steps, you can get into the modem settings. Here’s how you can do it:

Step 1: Connect the USB to the Computer

Your USB modem should be connected to the computer before you proceed the set up. Check the LED Status Indicator and see it its blinking green, indicating that the connection is stablished.

Note: Before setting up make sure that your computer runs operating systems such as Windows 10, 8, 7 and Mac OS X 10.5 or higher.

Step 2: Open a Browser

On your computer, open a browser and ty http://my.usb or 192.168.1.1, then press Enter. The browsers you can use are Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 or higher, Mozilla Firefox 3.6 or higher, Google Chrome 9 or higher, Apple Safari 5 or higher and Opera 9 or higher.

Step 3: Press Connect on the Device

On the device, click Connect that is located on the top of the device. Give at least 2 minutes to connect.

    Step 3: Enter the Admin Password

    When you are taken to the login page, enter the admin password in the field then click on Login.

    Step 4: You’ll Gain Access to Modem Settings

    After you enter the admin password, you’ll be redirected to the web user interface. Here, you can change the basic and advanced settings to suit you and your network needs.

    How To Change the Admin Password

    When you are done setting up and logging in to the web user interface of your MiFi U620L, you can now change the admin password. For you to be able to perform it quickly, you may follow the steps below:

    1. On the dashboard, go to Settings > Advanced > Continue.
    2. Enter the old password which is “admin”.
    3. Now, enter the new admin password and click Save Changes.

    How to Change Network Mode

    If your Global USB Modem U620L keeps dropping connections, especially when you’re close to a network border, you can try locking it to a specific network. Just keep in mind that this might lead to roaming charges.

    Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Open the Web Admin Interface.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Under the Network tab, look for the Preferred Network Technology dropdown.
    4. Choose the option that fits your situation. You can choose between Global, LTE/CDMA Mode and GSM/UMTS Mode.

    If you see a Manual Network Selection option, you can also pick from there. Options may include GSM/UMTS Dual, GSM Only, or UMTS Only. Once done, click Save Changes.
