Optilink Router Login lets you access the settings of your router. Whether you want to change your password, rename your network, or just make things run a little smoother, you can do these by logging in to your Optilink router.
How to Log in to Optilink Router
When you buy a new router, it comes with a factory-assigned name and password. That’s fine for the first time you connect, but later on, you need to configure its settings for security reasons. Logging into your Optilink router can protect your WiFi network as you can change the network name to something you’ll actually remember, and create a strong password to keep out unauthorized connections. If the safety of your home network is your top priority, then follow the login steps below:
Step 1: Connect Your Device to the Optilink Network
Before anything else, you need to make sure your device is connected to your Optilink router. This can be through WiFi or a wired Ethernet connection.
For WiFi, just search for your Optilink network name (it’s usually printed on a sticker on the router) and connect using the default password. If you’re using a cable, plug one end into your computer and the other into one of the LAN ports on the router. A wired connection is more stable and avoids interruptions during login.

Step 2: Open a Browser and Enter the IP Address
In the next step, you need to open your favorite browser. It can be Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. In the address bar, type http://192.168.10.1 and press Enter. After a moment, a login page should appear. If nothing loads, double-check the numbers because even a small mistake like not having a dot can restrict you from logging in. You may also check the back of your router, as the IP address is typically printed on a sticker, so check to find out.

For those who own routers other than Optilink, you can use the following IP addresses to log in:
| Router | IP Addresses |
|---|---|
| DLink | 192.168.0.1 192.168.1.1 192.168.10.1 192.168.0.50 192.168.0.10 192.168.1.254 192.168.15.1 |
| TP-Link | 192.168.1.1 192.168.0.1 192.168.0.254 192.168.1.253 |
| Netgear | 192.168.1.1 192.168.0.1 192.168.61.1 192.168.0.100 192.168.1.254 10.0.0.138 |
| Asus | 192.168.1.1 192.168.50.1 192.168.72.1 192.168.29.1 192.168.2.1 |
| Linksys | 192.168.1.1 192.168.0.1 192.168.15.1 192.168.16.1 192.168.101.1 192.168.1.245 |
| Belkin | 192.168.2.1 10.1.1.1 |
| ZyXel | 192.168.1.1 192.168.10.1 192.168.100.1 192.168.3.1 192.168.0.1 192.168.200.1 192.168.212.1 |
Step 3: Enter the Login Username and Password
Now you should see the login screen asking for a username and password. In most cases, the default credentials for Optilink routers are both admin for username and password. Also, sometimes a password is not needed, and you just need to leave it blank.

For you to make sure what your login credentials are, you can check the back of the router. Enter those details and enter the correct captcha, then press the login button.

Step 4: Explore and Modify Router Settings
Once you’re in, you’ll be taken to the dashboard where you can adjust your router’s settings. The interface is laid out in tabs like “Wireless Settings,” “Security,” “Network Tools,” and so on. You can start by configuring the WiFi settings to ensure your network can also be used by you and the people in your household. It is also an opportunity to kick out unauthorized connections that are causing your network to be slow.

How to Change Your WiFi Name and Password
Now that you have access to your router settings, you can change the WiFi password as well as the SSID name. To do it, you just have to follow the steps below:

- While inside the admin panel, go to WLAN > WLAN Basic Settings.
- Choose whether you want to change the settings for bands 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz.
- In the SSID field, enter your new SSID name.
- Click Apply Changes.
- To change the WiFi password, select Security.
- In the Pre-Shared Key field, enter your new WiFi password.

How to Reset Your Optilink Router
So, you’ve forgotten your login password, or maybe you tried too many wrong attempts and now you’re locked out. No big deal, as it happens. When all else fails, a full reset can save the day. Resetting your Optilink router will erase everything and return it to factory settings, including the default login and WiFi information. To do it:
- Look for a tiny hole or a small button labeled “Reset” on the back or underside of the router. It’s usually recessed to prevent accidental presses.
- Use a paperclip or pin to press and hold the reset button. Hold it for about 10 to 15 seconds.
- You’ll notice the lights on the router start blinking, and that’s your cue to release the button.
- Wait for the reboot. Once the lights stabilize, your router is back to its factory settings.
Keep in mind: After a reset, you’ll need to reconfigure your WiFi name and password again, just like when it was brand new. This is to make sure that your network won’t be used by others without your permission.
Common Login Issues and Fixes
Even when everything seems right, the login page might not load. Don’t worry, it’s usually something small. Here’s how to troubleshoot it step-by-step.
- You’re not connected to the Optilink network: Double-check your connection. If you’re not connected to the router’s WiFi or plugged in via Ethernet, you won’t be able to reach the login page. Connect first, then try again.
- Typing errors in the IP address: It’s easy to make a small mistake. Make sure you’re entering http://192.168.10.1 in the address bar, not the search bar. Also, watch for common errors like typing commas, extra dots, or mixing up numbers.
- Wrong browser or blocked by browser settings: If the page doesn’t load, switch browsers. Try Chrome if you’re using Firefox, or Safari if you’re on mobile. Also, disable any ad-blockers or privacy extensions that could block local network pages.
- VPN or Proxy is enabled: Turn off any VPN or proxy services. These can reroute your network traffic, and you won’t be able to access local IP addresses like 192.168.1.1.
- The router needs a reboot: If all else fails, restart the router. Unplug it, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, and try again.
- The login details are not working: If there is no way you can recall the login details, you may need to reset the router so you can use the default credentials.
