Re.rockspace.local allows you to access the web user interface of a Rock Space WiFi Extender. When you log in at http://re.rockspace.local or 192.168.0.254, you can change the default settings and other advanced settings to help protect your WiFi network.

How to Set Up Rockspace Extender

Re.rockpace.local is what you need to access when you want to set up your rockspace extender, so let us tackle how to set up your rockspace WiFi extender in this section.

Step 1: Plug in the Extender

Let’s start by plugging the Rockspace extender into the power outlet.

Step 2: Press the WPS Button of your router and extender

On your router, look for the WPS button, then within 2 minutes, press the WPS button of your extender. Wait for the LED of the signal to turn solid blue. This means that the connection is successful.

You can also set it up using your web browser. To do this:

1. Open your browser and type the IP address 192.168.0.254, then click Enter.
2. Create a password that you can use to log in, then click Next.
3. Select the WiFi you want to extend and enter your password.
4. Thats it! Your WiFi is now extended. You can see _EXT in the last name of your WiFi networks indicating that it is the extended network.

Changing SSID Name and WiFi Password

You can also change the password and SSID name of your Rockspace extenders. To do this:

1. Launch a web browser and enter http://re.rockspace.local or http://www.rockspacewifi.com in the address bar.
2. Enter your admin password that you created during the setup.
3. When you are in the admin panel, go to WiFi Settings.
4. In the SSID field, enter your new network name.
5. In the WiFi password field, enter your new WiFi password.
6. Click Save.

How to Reset a Rockspace Extender

If your extender is giving you problems with the signal network or you have forgotten its password, just reset it. To do this:

1. Plug the extender into the power outlet upside down so you can see the reset hole.
2. Press the reset button, and you will see the lights flashing.
3. Hold pressing for 8 seconds until you see the steady light on the power indicator.
4. That’s it!
