SFR router login allows you to access the router’s web interface, which is crucial for configuring default settings. When you log in at http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1, you can change details such as SSID name, WiFi password, and other basic and advanced settings.
How to Login to SFR Box
Do you want to configure your router settings? That’s a wise decision as it can bring you many benefits. One of the most noted ones is it can protect your WiFi network from unauthorized login and cyber threats. You can also enhance and improve your browsing experience by setting up advanced settings like WiFi channels, Guest networks, and more. However, for you to do it, you need to log in to your router’s admin panel. Here is how you can do it.
Step 1: Connect your Device to the Router
In the first step, you need to make sure the device you use is connected to the router. Let’s say you are using a laptop or a PC; an ethernet cable is needed to link the device and router LAN ports. You can also connect via a WiFi network; just make sure the network is correct and has a stable signal.

Step 2: Open your Browser
On your device, launch your favorite browser and type http://192.168.0.1/ or http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar. When confirming that the IP address is correctly entered, hit the Enter key on your keyboard. There are times that you will face browser compatibility issues, but you can easily fix it by switching to other browsers.

Step 3: Enter your Login Credentials
When you are taken to the login page, you have to enter your username and password in the fields given. Make sure that every detail is typed correctly, and then click Login. The common default username is admin, and for the password, check the back of the router for the sticker label.
Step 4: You will be Logged in to the Admin Panel
Once you do not encounter any issues on the login page, you will be taken to the admin panel, where you can find the router settings. On this page, you can change the network name and WiFi password. You can also set up WiFi channels and other advanced settings to maximize the use of your router.

How to Change SSID Name and WiFi Password
Now that you have accessed the administration page of the router, you should make it to the point that your network is safe and protected from hackers. Changing the WiFi password and SSID name could help you achieve that protection. To do that, here are the steps you can follow:
- Open your browser, type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar, then press Enter.
- Enter your username and password and click Valider.
- On the admin menu, select Wifi > Configuration.
- In the SSID field, enter your new SSID name.
- Click Valider.

- Select Wifi>Sécurité.
- In the Clé field, enter your new password.

SFR Box Login Issues and Solutions
Sometimes, you will experience some issues that can block access to your SFR box settings. Here are the most common ones and how you can fix them:
- Incorrect Login Credentials: If login details are wrong, use the default credentials (“admin”) found on the box sticker. For forgotten custom passwords, reset the box to factory settings.
- Can’t Access Admin Panel: This happens when your IP address is wrong, and your device is not connected to the SFR Box. Try “192.168.1.1” or “192.168.0.1.” If it still fails, restart the box.
- Forgotten WiFi Password: To resolve this issue, you can use the default password in the box or reset it via the admin panel. A factory reset will also work but will restore all the settings.
- Browser Issues: if you encounter this issue, use a different browser (Chrome, Firefox) or clear your cache.
- Connection Drops: To resolve this issue, try to move closer to the box or use an Ethernet cable. Restart the box if needed.
