Sitecom.extender is the gateway to reach the web-based GUI of your Sitecom extender device. When you log in at http://sitecom.extender you can manage and configure Wi-Fi password, Network Name (SSID), and other default Wi-Fi Range Extender settings.
How to Log in to Sitecom Extender
Sitecom extender can amplify and extend the coverage of your existing Wi-Fi network. But you can maximize its features more when you log in and tweak some of its essential settings. Here’s how you can reach the web user interface.
Step 1: Connect to the Extender’s Network
Before you proceed logging in, you must connect your device to the extender’s network. Go to your device’s WiFi settings, scan for available networks and look for someting “SitecomXXXX” then connect to it.
Step 2: Launch a Browser on Your Device
Once your device is connected to the network, launch a browser and type http://sitecom.extender in the address bar, then hit Enter. This action will take you to the login page.
For other router brands, you may use the default IP addresses to set up or log in to your router settings.

Step 3: Enter Your Login Details
On the login page, you will be asked to provide your login details. Typically, the default username is “admin” and password is also “admin”. After entering the details click OK.
Step 4: You’ll Gain Access to Web Interface
After you successfully entered your login details, you will gain access to the web user interface. If this is your first time settings up the extender, select Wizard from the Menu.
Select the network you want to extend, then enter the WiFi password and click Next. You will see the details of your extended network and password once again, then click Apply. Your extended network will be like this for example “WiFi_EXT”.
How to Change WiFi Name and Password
Once your sitecom extender is set up you can always log in back to change your WiFi password and SSID. To do this:
- Log in to the web user interface.
- From the menu, select Basic Settings.
- Enter your new WiFi Name in the Root AP SSID field
- Click Apply.
- Select Advanced Settings > Security.
- Enter your new Wi-Fi Password in the Pre-Shared Key field.
- Click Apply.
How to Reset Your Sitecom Extender
If you forgot your password, you can easily log in to your extender’s settings by performing a factory reset. To do this:
- Locate the reset button on the back of the device.
- Press and hold it for at least 10 seconds, then release.
- Wait for the extender to reboot completely and that’s it!
Troubleshooting Common Log in and Setup Issues
In case you encounter any issues during the installation or configuration process, here are some common problems and their solutions:
- No Signal: If you’re not receiving a signal from the extender, try moving it closer to the main router to improve connectivity.
