Solarman Login

Solarman Login lets you access the internal web interface of your solar data logger. When you log in at http://10.10.10.254, you can configure the Wi-Fi, bind the device to a plant, and change essential settings so your solar inverter can transmit data to the cloud.

How to Log in to Solarman Data Logger

If you’re setting up a new solar monitoring system or troubleshooting your current Solarman data logger, logging into its interface is the first step. If this is your first time, you can follow the steps below:

Step 1: Connect Your Device to the Solarman Router

First things first, you should get your phone or laptop connected to the Solarman dongle. To connect, power up the data logger, and then check the list of available Wi-Fi networks on your device. You’ll see something like AP_XXXXXX, where the “X”s are part of your device’s serial number. You should connect to it, and if you are asked for a password, enter the PIN number printed right on the dongle itself. Once you’re connected, you’re halfway to logging in.

Step 2: Open a Browser

Now that you’re connected to the logger’s Wi-Fi, open any web browser you like; it can be Chrome, Safari, Edge, or whatever you’re comfortable with. In the address bar, type http://10.10.10.254 and hit Enter.

For those who own other routers in their household and want to log in to the web interface, here are the default IP addresses you can use:

Step 3: Enter Your Login Details

You’re now at the login screen where you need to enter the default credentials. Both the username and the password are usually “admin,” all lowercase. If that doesn’t work, try using the serial number of your device as the password. Sometimes manufacturers switch it up depending on the model. Enter those details, and hit the Login button.

Step 4: Access the Logger Settings

You will be taken to the dongle’s internal interface, where you can make all the important changes. From here, you can set up and configure the settings.

Binding Your Solarman Logger to a Plant

There are two methods you can use to bind the Solarman logger to a plant. The first method is via the Solarman Business app. To perform it:

  1. Open the Solarman Business app.
  2. Go to your created plant > tap Devices.
  3. Tap the three dots in the top right > select Add Data Logger.
  4. Scan the QR code on your data logger.
  5. If the QR is scanned successfully, a pop-up will confirm Wi-Fi configuration is ready.

To bind manually:

  1. Follow the same steps as above, but tap Enter SN at the QR screen.
  2. Input the serial number printed on your device.
  3. Once accepted, the logger is bound to the plant.
  4. You can now configure the Wi-Fi.

How to Configure Wi-Fi via Smartphone (App Method)

Just like binding, configuring also has two methods to choose from: via smartphone and via web interface.

To configure via the app:

  1. Go to Network Configuration in the app.
  2. Tap Switch Network and select your home Wi-Fi.
  3. Enter your Wi-Fi password and tap Start.
  4. Choose the logger device to connect.
  5. Wait for the connection to complete, then tap Done.
  6. The logger will restart and connect to your network.

To configure Wi-Fi via browser:

1. Open browser > go to http://10.10.10.254

2. Log in with your username and password.

3. Look at the left-side menu and click “Quick Set.”

4. Select your current wireless network.

4. In the Network name (SSID) field, enter your new SSID or network name.

5. In the Password field, enter your new password.

6. Click Save.

Troubleshooting Solarman Login and Wi-Fi Setup

Logging in and setting up your Solarman dongle is not always a breeze, as you may face issues sometimes. To be ready and aware, here are the common issues and what you can do to fix each of them:

  • Can’t see logger’s Wi-Fi network: Move closer to the device or restart it. Give it 1–2 minutes after powering on to start broadcasting the Wi-Fi signal.
  • Incorrect password: Make sure you’re entering the correct PIN printed on the dongle. Don’t use your home Wi-Fi password here.
  • IP address won’t load: Check that you’re connected to the logger’s Wi-Fi hotspot. Then try typing the IP address 10.10.10.254 into your browser again.
  • Admin login fails: Press and hold the reset button on the logger for 10 seconds to restore default settings, including the default login credentials.
  • Still offline after setup: Give it up to 10 minutes to come online. Also, double-check your Wi-Fi password or try configuring the logger using the browser method if the app didn’t work.
