Step 3: Enter your Login Credentials
Once you have successfully accessed the IP address, you will be taken to the login page. From there, you will be asked to create a WiFi Name and Password. When you are done, click Create. After creating an account, go to Sign in and type your email and password, then click the Sign In button.

Step 4: You will be Logged in to the Router Settings
After entering the correct login details, you will be redirected to the router’s web interface. You can now make changes to your Starlink router settings. I recommend you start with two of the most common settings: the SSID and WiFi password.
How to Change SSID Name and WiFi Password
Changing the WiFi password and SSID name of your Starlink router is crucial for securing your network from hackers and threats. To do this, here are the steps you can follow:
- First, log in to the Starlink Portal by following the steps mentioned above.
- On the Portal, select Settings > WiFi Configuration.
- Enter your new Wi-Fi Network Name in the WiFi Name field.
- In the Password field, enter your new Password.
- Click Save.
How to Reset a Starlink Router
If you want to reset your router, here are the steps you can follow:
- Plug your Starlink router into the outlet and switch it on.
- Power cycle the router 6 times. You can do it by plugging it in and out to the outlet.
- Get your device and connect it to the Starlink router network.
- Use the Starlink app to set your new WiFi name and password, and you are done!
Login Issues and Solutions with Starlink Router
While logging in to your router is not as challenging as it may seem, you may sometimes face issues that you can fix with the right solutions. Here are the common ones and their solutions:
- Wrong username and password: If you changed the default login details a long time ago, you probably forgot them. You can solve this issue by resetting your router by following the steps I have mentioned above.
- The site cannot be reached: You won’t be able to reach the site if your device is not connected to the Starlink network. To fix this issue, double-check that the network you are connecting to is the correct network and try logging in again.
- IP address issue: The IP address should be associated with your router so that you can load the page. You can confirm this by searching for the default router IP addresses online.
- Too many login attempts: This happens when you enter the wrong login details on the login page. Usually, the default details are admin” and “password, so make sure you enter these details correctly.
- IP conflicts: This happens when multiple devices are connecting to the same IP address. To fix this issue, restart all the devices to automatically assign new IP addresses for them.
