To use a wired connection, connect one end to your laptop and the other to one of the LAN ports on the router. It doesn’t matter which option you pick; just make sure your device is connected properly.
Step 2: Open a Web Browser and Type in the Router IP
Now that you’re connected, open your favorite browser and enter http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.8.1 in the address bar at the top (not the search box), then press Enter. If the page doesn’t load, double-check the IP address. Missing dots, extra numbers, or typing it into the search bar instead of the address bar can hinder the login process.
The default IP address varies depending on the brand of the router, so if you own other router brands aside from Umniah, you may log in using the IP addresses below:

Step 3: Log In Using Your Login Details
You’ll now be asked to log in. If this is your first time, you’ll be using the default credentials. These are usually available on the back of the router. But if you have changed them in the past, you may use the new information. After you’ve typed in the username and password, click Login.

How to Change Your WiFi Name and Password
Changing your WiFi password and SSID name is probably the number one reason most people log into their router. Here’s how to do it inside your Umniah admin panel:
- Log in to the admin settings.

- In the SSID field, enter your new SSID name.
