The first step is to open and connect your device to the router, whether it is wired or wireless. If using an ethernet connection, make sure that the cable is linked between the ethernet port of the device and the LAN port of the router. If you prefer to use the WiFi signal, verify that you are connected to the correct network.
Step 2: Open your Browser
Next, is to open your browser and input http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. If you are using Google Chrome, you may encounter this message: “Your connection is not private.” Do not worry; click on the ADVANCED button and select Proceed to 192.168.1.1 (unsafe).
Step 3: Enter your Login Credentials
After you successfully access the IP on your browser, you will be redirected to the login page. Depending on your router, you will be required to enter your username and password or your password only.

How to Fix WE Router Login Issues
Occasionally, you may face some log-in issues that will not allow you to get into the settings of your WE router. Fortunately, many of them can be fixed through simple troubleshooting.
Wrong Login Details
One major problem is when wrong login details are entered. If you have not logged in for quite a while, it is easy to forget or misspell your username and password. In such cases, confirm if the right credentials were used. You can use the default username and password provided by WE if you are unsure, which are typically available in the router user manual or printed on the router itself. If you modified the password and can’t remember it anymore, try restoring your router to factory settings.
Connection Issues with the Device and the Router
Another factor might be connected with how your device links up with your router. If this connection is not done properly – whether wireless or Ethernet – access to the login page will not be possible. Make sure that either your Wi-Fi-enabled device has been connected to the correct network or the Ethernet cable has been tightly plugged in. A stable connection is needed to enter the router parameters.
Browser Issues
Problems related to browsers may never give room for successful logins. The cache of your browser sometimes causes conflicts, leading to incorrect loading of the login page. Clearing caches from a browse or using an alternative browser usually helps you out with this issue, thus enabling successful logging in.
Old Firmware Issue
There are also times when outdated firmware may lead to difficulties when trying to log into a given router. If there exist any outdated firmware versions on your router then logging in might be problematical since you will need an update on them before proceeding further. Sometimes minor firmware problems can be solved by simply rebooting your router but if such efforts fail then consider updating its firmware up-to-the-minute variant as required hence allowing better performance and eliminating various logging challenges.
Wrong IP Address
A wrong IP address could prevent users from accessing their routers’ login pages as they type in the correct one. It is often something like ‘192.168.1.1’ or ‘192.168.0.1’. If it has been changed, the address you are trying to log in with may be wrong. Find out and use the right IP address for that.
These well-known problems, when solved, will enable access to your WE router again and you will manage your network settings without any complications later on.
